Our dense and powdery Cornstarch comes right from the endosperm of the corn kernel. It is best used as a thickening agent for puddings, pie fillings, sauces, soups and stews. Cornstarch is also popularly used in many cake and cookie recipes for producing dense and finely textured goods.

Tips for Use:
1 Tbsp. Bob's Red Mill Corn Starch= 2 Tbsp flour. Corn starch has twice the thickening power of flour. When gray, sauce, soup or stew recipe calls for flour, use half as much corn starch to thicken. To thicken hot liquids, first mix Bob's Red Mill Corn Starch with a little cold water until smooth. Gradually stir into hot liquid until blended. Stirring constantly, bring to boil and boil one minute.
