How did our Anna Banana Split come about? Dr. Laura tells the story of how this healthy banana cookie was born:
'Back in the beginning of the company, I knew about the goodness of fruit as a natural sweetener and wanted to make a cookie that had this as a main ingredient. I thought about what kind of flavors would go together best to make a tasty, healthy cookie. I remembered as a kid that a banana split was considered the ultimate treat, and decided to create healthy banana cookies. But what flavors would taste best with banana? Chocolate of course! Who would be able to resist a healthy banana cookie that was moist, chewy, and bursting with chocolate chips? With the right balance of flavor and moistness, this healthy banana cookie became part of the line of healthy cookies I had started. It turned out to be such a tasty, healthy banana cookie that I decided it was worthy of my longtime childhood friend’s nick name: Anna banana.'
