The herbs goldenseal and echinacea provide immune system support, and may effectively treat colds and flu symptoms.

As a traditional Native American herbal medicine, goldenseal provided various benefits. It was used to help treat irritations and inflammation of the mucous membranes of the respiratory, digestive, and urinary tracts. In the early 20th Century, it served as a remedy for many stomach and intestinal problems. Additionally, this herb functioned as a topical treatment for skin and eye infections, and was an effective mouthwash in the healing of canker sores. And due to its anti-microbial activity, goldenseal was often used for infectious diarrhea, and upper respiratory tract and vaginal infections.

Echinacea was another Native American herbal medicine. It served a variety of purposes, such as treating venomous bites and other external wounds. In 1887, it was introduced to the U.S. medical practice, and was used for a many conditions, including colds and syphilis. Potency: 250 mg dry herb to 1 ml liquid extract (1:4).

Ingredients:

Goldenseal echinacea purpurea, Echinacea angutifolia, burdock, gentian, wood betony and cayenne pepper in a base of natural glycerin, alcohol free extract.

Directions

Shake well. Maintenance: Take 1 ml in a small amount of water 3 times daily for 4-6 week followed by a 2 week break. Cildren under 12 take 1/2 half adult dosage. Intensive: Take 2 ml, 4 times daily not to exceed 10 consecutive days. Refirgerate after opening.
